OVSD's "Reading for the Record" Program

Westminster, CA-This week around the Ocean View School District, Interim Superintendent Dr. Hoefer and I have had the joy of reading to preschool classes and after school program students. As part of the Reading for the Record program, we visited College View, Oak View, Hope View, Westmont, and Golden View. We read the book “Piper Chen Sings” a book about a young girl who overcomes her nervous feelings about singing a solo performance with the help of her grandmother Nǎi Nai, inspired a motivating story about Chinese Americans, family traditions, and community.
