Hope View Elementary was selected last year as the recipient of City National Bank and Barnes and Noble holiday book drive. Reading is the Way Up, a nonprofit initiative affiliated with City National Bank, collaborated with Barnes and Noble in Newport Beach to share the joy of reading and make a difference in the life of children.Through generous donations made by the customers at the Newport Beach store, a total of 2,750 books were be given to Hope View Elementary school.
Thank you to HBFD (from Heil/Springdale) and HBPD for coming to the annual Muscular Dystrophy Association Christmas party hosted and sponsored by the Surf City Optimist Club. I am proud member of the club.

Tonight our Oak View students from Mrs. Berkers' 3rd grade class performed at the Board Meeting. They performed patriotic songs and recited a special chant in honor of one of Oak View's favorite volunteers, Mrs. Peggy Wanderer. She has dedicated the past 15 years to volunteering at Oak View Elementary School in Mrs. Berkers' 3rd grade class.
